Our Wines

Organic, with natural fermentation at controlled temperatures. The great variety of cultivars in the rows is a tribute to the preservation of the precious biodiversity of our vineyards. There are three base wines, one white and two reds, which express the true essence of the territory, taking up the Lucchese tradition in which each wine is made with different types of grape, and our production is now complete with a monovarietal Syrah.

Pigne Bordò

Produced in the Maolina area with a prevalence of Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes. Other varieties, such as Moscato d’Amburgo, Ciliegiolo, and Aleatico, as well as other local varieties preserved in the old vineyards, are present in smaller quantities.
This is a typical Lucca wine, a historic cru, and the expression of a land with a soil and position that makes it ideal for winegrowing. With its many varieties of grapes, it regales us with a wine of such complexity that it defies any pedantic classification. The fining process to be used is decided year by year.

segale

SEGALE

Produced in the San Macario in Monte area, mainly with Sangiovese grapes. Ciliegiolo, Canaiolo, Sirah, Moscato Rosa, Aleatico, and other local cultivars are present in smaller quantities. This is a complex, elegant wine with spicy notes directly influenced by the composition of the mineral-rich soils and by the blending of aromatic grapes. The altitude of about 300-400 metres above sea level, with a splendid aspect towards the Mediterranean that offers greater atmospheric brightness and ideal ventilation, ensures perfect ripening of the fruits. Ageing is usually partly in steel and partly in wood but, here too, the decision is made according to the year.

Pigne Gialle

Produced with Maolina grapes and, in minimal quantity, with those of San Macario in Monte, this is a white wine vinified in the French tradition. The grapes are mainly Vermentino and Trebbiano with minimal percentages of Grechetto, Moscato, Malvasia and other local varieties. Aged on the lees, the wine is fined in steel and bottle only.
It stands out among Lucca whites for its distinctive bouquet and taste, which are given by the minimal percentages of aromatic grapes, which offer pleasantly fruity and floral notes.
