Produced in the Maolina area with a prevalence of Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes. Other varieties, such as Moscato d’Amburgo, Ciliegiolo, and Aleatico, as well as other local varieties preserved in the old vineyards, are present in smaller quantities.
This is a typical Lucca wine, a historic cru, and the expression of a land with a soil and position that makes it ideal for winegrowing. With its many varieties of grapes, it regales us with a wine of such complexity that it defies any pedantic classification. The fining process to be used is decided year by year.
